STOMACH ALIGNMENT MASSAGE

After consultation and assessment, the physiotherapist performs manual techniques and stomach massage aimed at balancing the functionality of the stomach and surrounding structures.

Appropriate techniques are applied, categorized as direct, indirect, inductive, or combined.

The procedure begins with an evaluation of the stomach’s mobility and position.

Mobility is prioritized because the stomach must first regain free movement in all physiological planes before it can be restored to its proper position.

Factors That Can Displace the Stomach

Lifting heavy objects or bending (gym, physically demanding work)

Frequent or forceful coughing

Strong sneezing

Pregnancy and childbirth

Vomiting

Straining due to constipation

Obesity (additional abdominal pressure)

Abdominal trauma

Eating while lying down or reclining

Large single meals

Excessive smoking or coffee on an empty stomach

Stress

Weak connective tissue or diaphragm muscles

Poor posture
